We Are NOT Pigs!! – Part 2 – The Case Against

Should Believers Eat PORK?

The Case Against:

  • The meat and fat of a pig absorbs toxins like a sponge. Their meat can be 30 times more toxic than beef or venison.
  • Unlike other mammals, a pig does not sweat or perspire. Perspiration is a means by which toxins are removed from the body. Since a pig does not sweat, the toxins remain within its body and in the meat.
  • Pigs and swine are so poisonous that you can hardly kill them with strychnine or other poisons.
  • Farmers will often pen up pigs within a rattlesnake nest because the pigs will eat the snakes, and if bitten they will not be harmed by the venom.
  • When a pig is butchered, worms and insects take to its flesh sooner and faster than to other animal’s flesh. In a few days the swine flesh is full of worms.
  • Swine and pigs have over a dozen parasites within them, such as tapeworms, flukes, worms, and trichinae. There is no safe temperature at which pork can be cooked to ensure that all these parasites, their cysts, and eggs will be killed.
  • Pig meat has twice as much fat as beef. A 3 oz T bone steak contains 8.5 grams of fat; a 3 oz pork chop contains 18 grams of fat. A 3 oz beef rib has 11.1 grams of fat; a 3 oz pork spare rib has 23.2 grams of fat.
  • Cows have a complex digestive system, having four stomachs. It thus takes over 24 hours to digest their vegetarian diet causing its food to be purified of toxins, during the process. In contrast, the swine’s one stomach takes only about 4 hours to digest its foul diet, turning its toxic food into flesh.
  • The swine carries about 30 diseases which can be easily passed to humans. This is why God commanded that we are not even to touch their carcass (Leviticus 11:8).
  • The trichinae worm of the swine is microscopically small, and once ingested can lodge itself in our intestines, muscles, spinal cord or the brain. This results in the disease trichinosis. The symptoms are sometimes lacking, but when present they are mistaken for other diseases, such as typhoid, arthritis, rheumatism, gastritis, MS, meningitis, gall bladder trouble, or acute alcoholism.
  • The pig is so poisonous and filthy, that nature had to prepare him a sewer line or canal running down each leg with an outlet in the bottom of the foot. Out of this hole oozes pus and filth his body cannot pass into its system fast enough. Some of this pus gets into the meat of the pig.

There are other reasons grounded in biological facts that could be listed to show why pigs and swine should not be eaten. But a true Christian should only need one reason why not to eat this type of food because God prohibited it.
“And the swine, because it divides the hoof, yet does not chew the cud, it is unclean unto you: you shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.” – Leviticus 11:7,8; Deuteronomy 14:8
Those who say Christ abolished the law condemning pork are motivated by their stomach not Scripture. The problems with pork are biological, and Christ never changed the laws of biology.

Dr. Axe:“Did you know that pigs carry a variety of parasites in their bodies and meat? Some of these parasites are difficult to kill even when cooking. This is the reason there are so many warnings out there about eating under-cooked pork.
One of the biggest concerns with eating pork meat is trichinellosis or trichinosis. This is an infection that humans get from eating undercooked or uncooked pork that contains the larvae of the trichinae worm.
This worm parasite is very commonly found in pork. When the worm, most often living in cysts in the stomach, opens through stomach acids, its larvae are released into the body of the pig. These new worms make their homes in the muscles of the pig. Next stop? The unknowing human body who consumes this infected meat flesh.”
“Pigs carry many viruses and parasites with them. Whether by coming in direct contact with them through farms or by eating their meat we put ourselves at higher risk of getting one of these painful, often debilitating diseases (not to mention put our bodies on toxic overload.)

Pigs are primary carriers of:

  • Taenia solium tapeworm
  • Hepatitis E virus (HEV)
  • PRRS (Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome)
  • Nipah virus
  • Menangle virus

Each of these parasites and viruses can lead to serious health
problems that can last for years to come.”

Connecting History & The Bible – Should We Eat Pigs? (Wes White)

THIS VIDEO WAS CENSORED!  But I found a copy of the Transcript:

Sometimes the Bible tells us things that don’t seem to make sense.  For example, the book of Leviticus tells us not to eat pigs.  It tells is we can eat cows and goats and sheep, but not pigs.  Why is this prohibition in the Torah?  Some say that this prohibition may have made sense thousands of years ago, but it certainly doesn’t make sense today.  I’m Wes White of cgi.org and welcome to Connecting History and the Bible.  Let’s go to western Tennessee.

I’m standing in Tennessee at the Mississippi River.  Everything across the river is eastern Arkansas.  Back in 1539 the Spanish explorer DeSoto traveled up this river.  And when he and his 600 soldiers looked into eastern Arkansas, they saw a land populated with about 50 settlements of over 200,000 people.  That’s a lot of people.  For several years, DeSoto and his men wandered all over Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and the southwest—stealing gold, burning, pillaging, and raping.  But these aggressive acts didn’t decrease the native population.   When DeSoto left, there were the same amount of people here as when he arrived.

But then something strange happened about 200 years later.  That was when a French explorer came thru this region.  His name was LaSalle.  LaSalle found the place practically deserted.  The French didn’t see an a native American village for 200 miles.  What happened to the 200,000 people who lived here during the time of DeSoto?  Why where they no longer here by the time LaSalle arrived two hundred years later?

The answer is that DeSoto had inadvertently killed them.  You see, along with his 500 men, DeSoto had 200 horses, and his meat supply—pigs.  When DeSoto traveled, he didn’t keep his pigs in cages or on leashes.  That was totally impractical.  Like pet dogs, his swine were allowed to roam freely along with the soldiers and horses as they all traveled.  These pigs were DeSoto’s ambulatory meat locker.  And the pigs usually stayed close to DeSoto’s army.  But some wandered away, turned wild, and started populating and traveling all over the Mississippi Valley.  It doesn’t take pigs long to multiply and spread in the wild.

No one knew it at the time, but these pigs carried European diseases such as anthrax, trichinosis, tuberculosis, and bru-cell-OH-sis.  The native population didn’t have any immunity to these European diseases, so they were susceptible to them.  And these natives didn’t always get these diseases directly from the pigs.  Sometimes the pigs gave the diseases to deer and turkey– and then the natives got the diseases from them.  The point is that the majority of the indigenous population in eastern Arkansas contracted these diseases…and died.

From the time of DeSoto to the time of LaSalle, the Caddo population in this area fell from 200,000 to about 8,500.  It was a horrible chain of events.

That was then.  What about now?  And what’s the status of DeSoto’s wild pigs that were the cause of so much death and destruction?  Today, wild pigs are an epidemic over most of this country—not just in Arkansas. Three quarters of all states in America have a wild hog problem.  Every year, wild hogs inflict $1.5 billion in damage to agriculture and livestock.  And that number is growing.  And sadly, we don’t know how to eliminate this wild hog problem.  We don’t even know how to slow their population growth.

These animals were a curse in the 1500s and they’re a curse today.  And we can’t escape the fact that, if Europeans weren’t eating this animal that God tells us not to eat, the Caddo tribes people wouldn’t have suffered these epidemics back then …and our country today wouldn’t be suffering such agricultural damage.  The more we examine the Bible, the more we realize that God’s laws are for our own good.  Sometimes it takes time to understand why God commands certain things, but sooner or later we recognize the goodness of His commands.

If you’d like more information on God’s laws regarding which animals are and which animals aren’t fit for human consumption, contact us at cgi.org.  We’ll see you again next time on Connecting History and the Bible.

Pigs do not discriminate, they will eat ANYTHING…even people live or dead.

In most modern farms, pigs are fed the worst of foods. On the biggest farms, the largest pigs are fed rotten eggs and chickens that died from disease.
Sometimes, pigs are kept in batteries where only a few pigs get the food. The rest of the pigs get only the droppings, which are extremely toxic. Any tissue from these animals makes them very unclean indeed.
Pigs have very high histamine levels. The connective tissue is very rich in sulfur, leading to increased blood acidity and osteoporosis because of the loss of calcium along with the sulfates. Research indicates that high sulfate levels, especially in meat-rich diets, are responsible for osteoporosis.
Research has found that at the time when pigs leave the farms, 56% of all pork samples are contaminated with salmonella. When “clean” animals leave the farms, only 15% of the meat is contaminated. When the pig meat leaves the abattoir, 80% is contaminated, and when it reaches the butcher, the level of contamination is virtually 100%. The “clean” animals have only a 40% contamination level by this stage.
The pig is certainly responsible for much disease. Many people are allergic to pork because of the high histamine levels, and pork also encourages the formation of excessive amounts of mucous in our bodies.
God warns us in Leviticus 11:26 to not even touch the carcass of a pig. Pigs have high levels of bacteria such as campylobacta and salmonella.
