Why Super Powers? We are living in a world that gets more and more scary every day.  Violence is out of control, bullying, child abuse, animal abuse, spousal abuse, murder, mayhem, rape are rampant.  Every day we hear wilder and wilder stories about ghosts, aliens, demons, witches, vampires, even werewolves and changelings, black-eyed children and voodoo.  It seems like the world has lost its mind.  Our economy is looking more and more like it could drop out from under us every day.  Food shortages, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanos, tsunamis!  Man half of these things have never been heard of until recent times.  As the world around us gets more and more out of control, people seek to find ways to at least feel like they are in control.

Due to all the images, we have been surrounded by all of our lives, of Super Heros, and Super Powers, people start imagining what it would be like to have some.  Super Powers that is.  And boy, there is no shortage of entities that want to cash in on our insecurity.  Frightening entities like DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency).  Seems like Science has always been about pushing the envelope, stretching the imagination as far as it will go, then test your ideas out on guinea pigs, just to see what happens.  Never mind any possible negative consequences.  Heck, it might blow up the whole world, but what do we care.  We are scientists, we have to test it.

Just the things that they are already releasing to the public are scary enough.  God knows what all they have been working on that they don’t tell us about.  Some of those things are getting out these days.  And I mean that “getting out” literally.  Some very strange creatures, bacteria, and weather phenomenon are popping up, out where we can see them.  But, that is a whole nother topic.  Today we are focusing on Super Powers.

If you just do a little Google Search of your own, you will see for yourself how we are being bombarded with the whole idea of Super Powers every day.   From our very youngest babies to grown adults, we are being enticed by the idea.  I mean what could be wrong with living disease-free forever?  Wouldn’t it be great if we could just download all the known information into our brain (after all it is only a computer, right?)  Wow, to learn a language in seconds?  To go for days without having to sleep or eat?  What could that do for our armies?  To read minds?  Teleport to wherever instead of having to fly?  Communicate telepathically?  Have night vision?  No kidding?  What could be wrong with Super Powers?

We’ve been seeing these things played out all of our lives, on television, in the movies, even in our music.  Our imaginations have been stirred and primed and we are ready to receive.  These images are being fed to us at an ever-increasing rate.  Have you even noticed?  Or are you so caught up in media that you don’t even realize what is happening?

Are you already daydreaming about how your life could be changed if you had Super Powers??

Why do people want power?

I am sure that some desire for power in our lives is natural and even healthy.  As we mature, we realize that we are responsible not only for our own survival and success but possibly for the survival and success of those around us: children, grandchildren,  sometimes parents, and even our pets.  So we seek to find some amount of power and control over our circumstances.

BUT, when we seek an inordinate amount of power, or we seek to have power over others, it is not healthy at all.

In TRUTH, there is a very good reason why the focus today is on Super Powers.  We are living in the Endtimes.  Very shortly, we will be moving into the time of “Jacob’s Trouble” or what is known as “The Tribulation”.  We are already seeing signs of this every day in our news.  The bible says these will be times of trouble such has never been before or ever will be again.

You will find yourself faced with dimensional beings and even physical entities you have never seen before.  The Bible says that “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”  Luke 21:26  That is a very strong statement.  Needless to say, we are going to be needing supernatural power, in order to deal with what is coming.

However, none of the “powers” the world wants to offer you will do you any good in these times of trouble.  I promise you that.  The Devil is offering you a cheap substitute.  That is all he ever has to offer.

I can tell you where to get the REAL POWER.  The ONLY POWER that will provide what you need to endure and overcome.  All the power you will need when facing demonic spirits and people possessed by them.  Believe it or not, you will encounter vampires, cannibals, gnomes, trolls, giants, and fairies and host of others.  Trust me none of them are good, kind or friendly.  You are likely to be confronted by “aliens” and they won’t be friendly neighbors from outer space.  They will be fallen angels and their offspring.  You will come up against all kinds and species of wild animals and hybrids.  These demonic entities cannot be fought with muscle, guns, and explosives.

DARPA is convinced that their Armor is the Best… but, they are wrong.  They are wrong!

The Armor of God has always been the BEST! Especially now, as we moved into this period of supernatural warfare, NOTHING CAN SAVE YOU BUT GOD.

Ephesians 6:11-18 “Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

I heard a well-known minister, Dr. Sumerall, share a testimony of how he had been out in the jungle ministering to a small village.  Prior to his arrival, that village had been controlled by the local witchdoctor who was not happy about Dr. Sumerall being there.  As Dr. Sumerall was living there, ministering to the people many of them did work up the courage to come to him for healing and deliverance.  Eventually, people in the village began to accept the Lord.  Even the Witchdoctor, who came to Dr. Sumerall and said, “How are you still alive?”  It turns out that he had been poisoning Dr. Sumerall’s food the whole time.  The fact that Dr. Sumeral was still alive is what got the Witchdoctor to surrender.  Dr. Sumeral said he had gotten sick… but the Witchdoctor had given him enough poison that there should have been no way for him to survive.  That is the Power of GOD.

Luke 10:19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Treading on Serpents and Scorpions – By Mary Craig – excerpts

Behold. Look here. Pay attention. This is primo. Listen up. First and foremost, it is Jesus who gives the authority. Jesus Christ is the Incarnate Word. He is God in flesh. He is the Creator come to be Savior. He is far above principalities and powers and rulers of darkness. He has pre-eminence in all things. All things were created by Him and for Him.

And He gives this authority. We don’t usurp it. It is delegated authority. The Greek here is exousia. It means the domain or sphere over which one has authority to control or rule, jurisdiction; authority to rule or govern; authority and responsibility for something; the power to do something.

And what is this authority? To do what? It is to tread, to tread on serpents and scorpions and to tread on all the power of the enemy.

Before we look at what it is to tread, we will look at the focus of our treading. It is serpents and scorpions, first. Serpents and scorpions symbolize Satan and demons. The serpent is craft, deceiving. It glides and slithers and darts. It coils and is venomous. Serpents swallow their prey to devour them. They crush so as to make one an empty vessel (Jeremiah 51.33, 34). They do violence to one’s flesh. (Jeremiah 51.35) Serpents bite.

Serpents have sharp tongues (Psalm 140.3), snake tongue. Dust will be the serpent’s food (Isaiah 65.25) when it can no longer harm nor destroy. If serpents are cunning and poisonous, (Dt. 32.33; Job 20.14; 20.16) scorpions sting.

The sting of death is sin. The strength of sin is the law. (1 Corinthians 15.56) but death and the grave have no victory because God gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Our labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Part of that labor is to tread. Jesus Christ has given us the right to tread on serpents and scorpions.

What is it to tread? It is to trample, to push down, to walk on, to step on, to conquer. It implies that the serpents and scorpions are under your feet. It is to conquer and keep under subjection by trampling. It can mean to subdue by force, to plunder, to treat contemptuously, as in Luke 21.24 where it speaks of the destruction of Jerusalem by the Gentiles.

Both sides in this war tread. The enemy tramples us and seeks to keep us downtrodden, to plunder us, to trample us, to trample and make common the holy things of God.

Treading implies a beating down by walking on something. We are to tread on all the power of the enemy.

We are given the right to do this treading over all the power, the dunamis of the enemy, i.e., the enemy’s ability or power or supernatural power.

An enemy can be personal, national, and/or God’s enemy. Here I think it refers to the enemy opposing Jesus Christ, to Satan and his minions. The enemy comes with reproach to oppress, blaspheme, revile, cast iniquity upon, to hate.

Right now our greatest enemy is sin. It is the sting of death. We are to tread it down in our lives. We are to rise up out of the graves and get sin and Satan under our feet and trample the enemy down. Enemies seek your life to destroy you. The enemy of your soul is out to devour you. You are given the right to tread the enemy down. You are not to walk with the enemy or talk with the enemy or take the enemy in. You are to walk on the enemy, tread the enemy down, under your feet. You are to conquer that which seeks to destroy you and devour you.

To tread you must have a clearly defined enemy. You must see what is the enemy to your soul and to Christ. You have the right to tread on His enemies, on everything that opposes Jesus Christ and life in Him. Sin, Satan, and the pride of life, Leviathan.

And as you do this, Jesus promises that nothing…no thing… shall by any means harm you. The Greek here is ou me, absolutely not, no thing by no means. Nothing shall by no means harm you.

But don’t get carried away like you have so much power over the devil and demons. Jesus says, “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”

Don’t get sidetracked and big on yourself because demons are cast out and sin is trampled underfoot. Rejoice in your salvation. Rejoice because in the cosmic battle between good and evil, between those who are God’s and those who are not, Jesus Christ has a Body of believers whose names are written in heaven.

Rejoice because if you are downtrodden and have been trampled upon and devoured by the enemy of your soul, you can come to Jesus Christ and find forgiveness for your sins and power over the very sin and demons that have sought to destroy you. Rejoice because the KOG has come, Messiah has come, access to the very Throne of the Father is possible because Jesus has come and died and His Blood sits there on the mercy seat in the heavenly sanctuary over the Law crying out and pleading for you, for mercy, for grace, for you. Satan can’t defile that sanctuary. Satan can’t destroy the life that is in Jesus’ Blood. Satan can’t touch the One who has the power of an endless life, the great Apostle and High Priest of our confession of faith. And you can be in Christ. You can be seated in the heavenly places in Christ far above principalities and powers. You can tread on the high places and rejoice.

As I said earlier, you WILL be running into every conceivable kind of unclean spirits.  Some you will see with your eyes and others you will experience.   You need discernment and you need the power of GOD to stand.  The time is coming when the power of GOD is going to fall on all of those who know, love and serve him.   Will you be one?

The Powers that be do not want you to know that OUR HEAVENLY FATHER HEALS!  They have removed all the hundreds of videos of actual healings.  It is all but impossible to find any of them today.  BUT GOD is STILL HEALING.  HE SAID “I AM THE GOD THAT HEALTHE THEE!  Healing is a SUPER POWER that we all need, and it is available to ANYONE WHO BELIEVES!!

Very soon the anointing is going to fall, for where sin doth abound, grace doth much more abound.  The power of the dark side is growing fast, the power of GOD will ALWAYS be greater.  God is looking for those who will follow his commands.  Power to heal, Power to Deliver! 

You don’t need to conjure up demons, call upon your ancestors or visit a channeler or medium.  If you lack wisdom or knowledge if you need direction call upon the LORD!  I can promise you, speaking from experience, HE WILL ANSWER, and tell you amazing things that you could never know on your own!  There is a time coming when you need to know how to hear his voice.  In that day, if he tells you to go here or go there, you better listen.  

Ok… so, Jesus healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, caused the lame to walk, unstopped dear ears, raised the dead, walked on water, fed the masses with just a few loaves of bread and some fish, walked straight through an angry mob that was trying to kill him, when he was killed he rose from the dead.    hmmm…. sounds pretty amazing!    I would say he had SUPER POWERS, and he states that those who believe on him will do greater works than these!!   That is an AWESOME PROMISE!

The Bottom Line – If you are looking for SUPERPOWER.   I am talking about POWER that will make you a MIGHTY WARRIOR in these last days.  You need to go to GOD.  Seek HIS face and His anointing. God is about to endue all of those he has chosen with POWER.  Supernatural Power that will give you everything you need to stand to the end.   Once you are in the service of the LIVING GOD, THEN NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU! No weapon form against you will prosper!!!  All those who rise up against you will FALL. Demons will be subject to you by the power of the name of Jesus.  You will lay hands on the sick and they will recover!  You will tread on snakes and scorpions!  AND most important of all, you will open the blind eyes of those who are lost and save them from HELL! 

NOW THAT IS REAL SUPER POWER!  

When you have seen the power of GOD manifested around you, in you and/or through you, you can only be awestruck and amazed!  No one can ever convince you that there is no GOD, once you have experienced his presence.  Try it, you will be eternally glad you did!
