Update 9/30/19 – EARTHQUAKE UPDATES AND WARNINGS

Earthquakes are not really weather so I felt that they needed their own Article.  I am not really into earthquakes and tracking them.  I will not post here often.  Earthquakes kind of happen suddenly and they are gone. But, if I see a pattern or some convincing evidence of a timely warning… I will let you know.

This first item seems to show an ongoing swarm, and the video contains some great advice for those on how to prepare for an earthquake.

USGS: 4.0 magnitude earthquake reported north of Snyder Monday afternoon

SCURRY COUNTY, Texas – The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake occurred Monday afternoon north of Snyder.

The earthquake measured 4.0 on the Richter scale and occurred at 4:47 PM CDT.

The epicenter was located east of State Highway 208 in north-central Scurry County, about 12.8 miles north of Snyder.

No damage has been reported so far with the earthquake.

1045pm Central Time July 11, 2019 — Looks like the 3rd earthquake forecast for California is a flop. We were looking for a M7.5-M7.6 by midnight tonight, or for energy to escape out East to the midwest USA. Instead earthquakes have developed HEADING WEST down the Garlock fault towards the San Andreas. No large quake yet, and no transfer of energy East yet. Spreading in the opposite direction than expected.. heading towards the coast and San Andreas fault as of this evening. The completely unexpected has occurred in my opinion. Therefore, the warning is canceled, and I am wrong. I will be donating the full amount I made over this last 3rd earthquake warning time, the first two warnings were accurate, the third warning incorrect. I will show the total amount made across my platforms during this last warning time, and donate that amount to a California earthquake relief charity.
