Demonic spirits are everywhere and constantly looking for an opening, a door, a gateway that gives them access to enter people, places and things. Spiritual doors are opened when people ignore GOD and commit sin. That is all it takes, and once a demon has set up a home inside, they begin to create a STRONGHOLD. They also begin to manipulate their host to commit more sin and/or the attract other demons and/or evil people to commit sinful, traumatic acts upon their host. Once the stronghold is created, MORE demons enter, people, places and things become inhabited by multiple demonic spirits. There is a chapter in the Bible about a man who was out of his mind, violent and dangerous because he was inhabited by LEGIONS of Demons!
Most people struggle with things from their past because they do not allow the Holy Spirit to renew them in the present. Their destinies are stolen or destroyed because they were unaware of how spiritual strongholds develop. Strongholds are built up through various methods, providing Satan with a base of operations.
We are well aware of Satan’s sinister tendencies. However, it extends beyond that. Satan’s troops want to establish long-term strongholds where they may rule and hold people prisoner, adding to the everyday harassing, tempting, or hit-and-run attacks. Demonic powers look for individuals and situations where they can flourish with minimal resistance. source
Demons will continually make you feel insignificant, not holy enough or good enough. They know pretty much all the Bible, so they will quote scripture to you and use it against you. If you are not aware that demons are on the inside of you and that you are oppressed by them, then you will start to believe their thoughts are your thoughts. You will listen unknowingly to what they are saying and start to believe that you are depressed, suicidal, angry, lonely, worried, and full of anxiety. You will start to identify with these traits and believe this is who you are. This is them, not you! The word of God says we have the mind of Christ if/once we are born again, so every thought that is contrary to God’s way of thinking comes from one of two places—our thoughts or a demon’s thoughts (masquerading as our thoughts). Satan has the art of suggestion down to a tee; he is a master at this type of attack on the believer, and he uses this strategy repeatedly because it works so well for him. We must not take the thoughts of a demon on, and the way we recognize them is that their thoughts are contrary to what God’s word says about us.
Trauma of any kind is often the open door that initially allows a demon to enter. Once they are in, they will wait for opportune moments to start to distort how you think and feel about yourself, and because there is no time frame with them, this could happen straightaway or years after you have experienced that initial trauma. Whatever area you have experienced trauma in—sexual, emotional, or physical—is the point where the distortion will start. Demons will do this through your mind and your thought processes, which will then affect your will and emotions, ultimately heading for your heart.
There are “strongholds” in our lives that look so attractive and become addictive but end up being entrapments that we are blind to, and they enslave us, rapidly turning us from joyful to miserable. They also make us spiritually less strong and prevent us from seeing God’s love for us. source

“Borgs” are extrachromosomal elements, meaning that these DNA sequences are found outside the chromosomes that lie within the nucleus of most cells and that contain the majority of an organism’s genetic material. Examples of extrachromosomal elements include plasmids, which can replicate outside of a host’s chromosomes, and some viruses.
Exactly what Borgs are remains a mystery at this point, but it is clear that they share genes and proteins with organisms that oxidize methane, called methanotrophs, that belong to the genus Methanoperedens, suggesting that they acquired these elements through past gene transfers. Methanotrophs are of immense interest to climate change researchers because they reduce atmospheric emissions of methane, a potent greenhouse gas that contributes to rising global temperatures.
“Speaking for myself, I was really very excited, especially once it became clear that they carry genes directly involved in methane oxidation,” said senior author Jillian Banfield(link is external), a biogeochemist and geomicrobiologist at the University of California, Berkeley, in an email.
Banfield and her colleagues realized they were dealing with something special after sequencing DNA found in the wetlands of Lake County, California. Her team includes several researchers from the Innovative Genomics Institute(link is external) (IGI), a partnership between UC Berkeley and the University of California, San Francisco that was founded by Jennifer Doudna(link is external), who received the 2020 Nobel Prize for Chemistry and is a co-author of the new study.
The researchers have studied a huge variety of microbial entities—bacteria, archaea, eukaryotes, viruses, phages, and plasmids, for instance—that inhabit watery habitats such as groundwater aquifers, soils, and vernal pools. The Borgs were clearly different from anything they had seen before, hinting at a distinct evolutionary origin.
