Halloween from June to November – And the Reasons Why

Trending is the new holiday created by Disney, SUMMERWEEN.  Much like the “Christmas in July” idea the purpose is to extend the “FUN” of the seasonal holiday.  This post will look more indepth into what is really behind it.

Are you of the tribe of PAN?  You know, Peter Pan, the I WON’T GROW UP, TRIBE.  Every generation from the Baby Boomers to the Z Generation have gotten progressively more childish, spoiled, rebellious, self-centered and whimsical.  The world has lost all touch with Reality and they are living in a Fantasy World spawned by virtual reality.

All you have to do is look at how Halloween is celebrated in today’s world to see the evidence of what I am saying.  People well past the age of puberty, behaving like children.  Playing dress up and partying on like there is no tomorrow.

Well, these folks are carrying now beyond the Harvest time shenanigans.  One entire season is not enough festive debauchery.  They are expanding their gaiety and party fun to encompsss the whole season of summer as well as the fall. Naturally the force behind this concept is none other than the Wonderful World of Disney.

I kid you not, this is really happening.  I had no idea.

Every Neurotic Disney Person knows that there are unspoken commandments for conducting a perfect Disney trip, known as The Sacred Seven.  These are laid out with the specific intention of guiding one through the ideal, neurotic vacation, which in turn creates the desired, addictive fascination with Disney.  Such laws are necessary not only for the sake of Disney devotion but also for the promotion of good mental health that is created by the euphoria of being in Disney.

1.  Thou shalt play only Disney music when en route to Disney.

It is very important to play Disney music on the way to Disney.  It helps one get excited about arriving there.  Think of how wrong it is to see the huge, welcoming, Disney banner and pass under it while listening to something that is not Disney related.  Such blasphemous practices can’t be tolerated.

2.  Thou shalt ride the monorail when in Disney.

Riding the monorail is a rite of passage for all memebers of the NDP community.  You cannot say that you have “done” Disney if you have not been on the monorail.  Any trip that excludes transportation by this iconic emblem is considered invalid in the eyes of a NDP and is not tolerated under any circumstance.  So in order to validate trips in Disney, this event is a mandatory one.

3.  Thou shalt arrive at the theme park before the gate opens.

When a NDP is finally granted a few precious days in the motherland, it is essential to maximize every Disney minute, and efficiency is parmmount.  There are various strategies and tactics utilized to accomplish this, but being at the theme park before it opens is of particular importance since it allows you to indulge in Disney bliss at the earliest possibility.

4.  Thou shalt not repeat a ride until each one has been experienced.

Many months of analysis have led to a carefully devised strategy for completing all desired activities during our few hours of Makgic Kingdom bliss.  This strategy does not include repeating the same attractions over and over.  If rides are repeated according to whim, there might be rides left at the end of the day that were never enjoyed.  The rationale that Disney gives pleasure in an unorganized fashion–that one can enjoy the magic as it just happens to present itself–is flawed.  One must plan for it, seek it out and adhere to the schedule!

5.  Thou shalt not reject a ride until it has been personally experienced.

Fear of the unknown is often a large obstacle when it comes to Thrill Ride virgins.  But in the life of a NDP, nothing is permitted to stand in the way of having a full knowledge of Disney attractions.  For this reason, rejecting a ride based purely on speculation or anticipated displeasure is forbidden.

6.  Thou shalt be photograped with Mickey Mouse when in Disney.

Meeting Mickey Mouse, pinching his nose and being engulfed in his plush embrace is the climax of every Disney trip.  In order to honor this sacred moment as well as permanently affix it in the minds, hearts and scrapbooks of a person’s Disney heritage, it is essential to capture this precious time on film.  Overlooking this critical tenet could cause post-traumatic Disney stress disorder, leaving residual and irreversible damage.

7.  Thou shalt not exit the park until forced to do so.

Nuff said.

Welcome to THE CONFESSIONAL.  This is the place where you can divulge your deepest, darkest, most neurotic things you have done in times of Disney desperation.  Don’t be ashamed.  We’ve all had these moments.  Make yourself comfy in our confessional chair and tell us. What are the things you have done in order to get your Disney “fix”?spacer

Retailers are cashing in on Summer Halloween events, parties, celebrations and commemorations.

Amazon has been embracing “Summerween” shopping trends for years.  You and your Summerween party friends can get some of your frustration out on their Pumpkin Piñata. The wack stick is included.

TJ Maxx didn’t wait long to cash in on the trend.

Home Depot also has its 12 ft skeleton named Shelly.  Their hyper-realistic  skeleton decoration was first released back in 2020 and stirred an instant internet frenzy with its “larger-than-life” stature and soul-piercing eyes.

Pottery Barn boasts plenty of Summerween party supplies and decorations including silver Skeleton candle holders that can hold your taper candles on a sturdy base..

You can be sure WALMART is going to cash in on the revenue.  They have plenty of “goodies” in stock like their skull shot glasses.

Or make a picnic with pumpkin hummus and crudités and Halloween deviled eggs. Plus, there’s never a wrong time for making Halloween desserts!

Sip Refreshing Summerween Drinks

Tell Scary Stories

Gather everyone around the campfire for a night of scary stories. You’ll want to whip up a batch of s’mores for this one!

Have a Halloween Movie Night

When night falls, set up an outdoor movie night in your backyard. (If it’s just too hot out, you can always take advantage of the air conditioning by moving the party inside!) Either way, curl up and watch your favorite Halloween movie. Don’t forget the snacks like popcorn, candy, and Halloween chex mix!

Summerween is a new summertime celebration that’s been gaining momentum and it is here to stay! Bring on all the spooky summertime fun!

WHAT IS SUMMERWEEN?
A mash up of summer + Halloween, this term was first introduced to us in 2012 by Disney’s TV Series Gravity Falls. In the fictional series, this small town community loved Halloween so much, they decided to celebrate it on June 22nd, the second-to-last Friday in June. And this the story of how Summerween was created. You can view the episode (Season 1, Episode 12) on Disney Plus. Since then, the fictional holiday has been gaining popularity and people are just having a lot of fun with it.

There is a very good reason they want folks to celebrate on June 22.

HOW CAN YOU CELEBRATE?
In true mash-up form, think of summer things you love and give them a Halloween spin. If the budget is tight, focus on color schemes like orange & black or black & white. There’s no wrong way to celebrate, it’s all fun!
Here are a few ideas:
Watermelon Carving Party -make Jack O’Lanterns out of watermelons, instead of pumpkins. Keep the watermelon theme with your menu and signature cocktail.
Pumpkin or Ghost Piñata – fill a piñata with candy and small tokens. I love the piñatas with drawstrings – easier for the kids and you decrease the chances of an accident.
Beach Picnic or Pool Party – plan a wonderful picnic at the beach or pool party at home! Make sure everything is Halloween themed for extra fun! If you have any skeletons, they may be floating in the pool or sipping on a drink. Order themed floaters for the kids of all ages.
Labryrinth Luau – create a maze game and/or take inspiration from the movie.
Spooky Movie Night – set out the Halloween decorations, floor pillows and blankets to watch your favorite spooky movie. Don’t forget the popcorn and add some chocolate candy bugs or M&Ms for that salty and sweet surprise!
Baking Party – baking is one of my favorite activities. Bring out all the colored sprinkles and make your favorite halloween treats with the kids. Make it a cookie-swap party for even more fun!
Themed Dinner or Party – set out your Halloween decorations and plan a scary menu. Have your guests come in costume. Play some games or fun activities. Think Little Shop of HorrorsGhostbustersBeetlejuiceHocus Pocus, etc.
Games – pick a favorite game and change it up with a Halloween/spooky twist. Below are a few ideas to get you started:
Pin the Wart on the Witch/ Pin the Eye on the Cyclops have fun with the old pin the tail on the donkey game
Witch’s Hat Ring Game throw ring onto the witch’s hat
Spider Cornhole Game cover the bags you toss in themed fabric/add spiders to the cornhole
* Eyeball Croquet paint round balls to look like eyeballs and wack the eyeballs
Card Games buy a spooky deck of cards and play your favorite card game
Spooky Charades limit the list to Halloween movies
Eyeball Spoon Relay Races decorate an egg to look like an eyeball, nestle it on an egg and relay

However you celebrate Summerween, just have fun! Celebrations are all about finding fun and new ways to gather

I debated about whether to include the above information and illustrations because I am NOT Glorifying this despicable “holiday”.   I decided to include all that because I wanted you to see that they are very serious about making this a permanent ongoing period of revelry.  Also, this is being highly promoted and financially backed.  Just like CHRISTMAS, it is from the onset commercially profitable endeavor.  THE RICH CAN GET MUCH RICHER if they can get the public to embrace it.

Beyond all that, the spiritual repercussions are astounding.  This is a huge victory for the Prince of Darkness and his minions.  I am sure he is lapping it up! Laughing at the ignorance and gullibility of the masses, so easily fooled and entertained to their own peril.

The Origins of Halloween: Celtic Roots, Evil Spirits and Pagan Rituals

On 31 October, we celebrate the holiday known as Halloween. Although the revelries and observances of this day primarily occur in regions of the Western world, it has become an increasingly popular tradition across the globe, especially in Eastern Europe and in Asian countries such as Japan and China.

Conventionally, we host costume parties, watch scary movies, carve pumpkins and light bonfires to celebrate the occasion, while the younger generations are off trick-or-treating down the road.

Just like any holiday we tend to celebrate, we can trace the origin of Halloween far back in time. Beyond the scary pranks and the spooky outfits, the festivities have a rich, cultural history.

Celtic Origins

The origins of Halloween can be traced back all the way to the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhainpronounced ‘sow-in’ in Gaelic language. It was originally an event that marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter in Ireland. The day after, on 1 November, would mark the ancient Celts’ new year.

Like other ancient Gaelic festivals, Samhain was seen to be a liminal time, when the boundaries separating the spiritual world and the real world were reduced. This is why Halloween has become associated with appearance of spirits, fairies and ghosts from the mythical ‘Otherworld’.

Evil Spirits

When the lines were blurred between worlds of the living and the dead, Celts used the opportunity to honour and worship their ancestors. Many, however, were concerned about the access darker and evil spirits had to influence those in the real world.

This is why many Celts dressed their children as demons to confuse the evil spirits and marked their doors with animal blood to deter unwanted visitors.

Sacrifice

With newly uncovered archaeological evidence, historians are almost certain that animal, as well as human sacrifices, were made during Samhain to honour the dead and the Celtic Gods. It is thought that the famous ‘Irish Bog Bodies’ may be the remains of Kings who were sacrificed. They suffered the ‘threefold death’, which involved wounding, burning and drowning.

Crops were also burnt and bonfires were made as part of the worship of Celtic deities. Some sources claim these fires were made to honour the ancestors, while others indicate that these fires were part of the deterrence of evil spirits.

Roman and Christian Influence

Once Roman forces had conquered a vast amount of Celtic territory by 43 AD in Northern France and the British Isles, traditional Roman religious festivals were assimilated with the pagan celebrations.

The Roman festival of Feralia was traditionally celebrated in late October (although some historians suggest the festival occurred in February). It was a day to commemorate the souls and spirits of the dead, and was hence one of the first festivals to be combined with the Celtic festival of Samhain.

Another festival was the day of Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit and trees. In Roman religion, the symbol that represented this goddess was an apple. This has led many to believe the Halloween tradition of apple bobbing originated from this Roman influence on the Celtic celebration.

“Snap-Apple Night”, painted by Irish artist Daniel Maclise in 1833. It was inspired by a Halloween party he attended in Blarney, Ireland, in 1832. (Image Credit: Public Domain).

It is believed that from the 9th century AD, Christianity had began to influence and displace old pagan rituals within the Celtic regions. At the behest of Pope Gregory VI, ‘All Hallows’ Day’ was assigned to the date of 1 November – the first day of the Celtic new year. The Pope, nevertheless, renamed the event ‘All Saints’ Day’, in honour of all the Christian Saints.

‘All Saints’ Day’ and ‘All Hallows’ Day’ are terms that have been used interchangeably throughout history. The eve before these dates was then called ‘Hallowe’en’ – a contraction of ‘Hallows’ Evening’. In the last century however, the holiday has been referred to simply as Halloween, celebrated on ‘Eve’ before the Day of the Hallows, on 31 October.

Dragons are everywhere!  The fascination with dragons seems to be exploding, by design.  There are pictured everywhere, paraded down the street on floats and dancing through the city on hundreds of human feet.  They are paddled down our rivers, lakes and seas in great throngs.  Major storms are described as dragons.  In fact many things … Click Here to Read More

10 Types of Ancestor Worship from Around the World

A Quick Note on Ancestor Worship

Ancestor worship is simply a religious practice that seeks to honor or venerate a deceased member.  Don’t let their word games fool your mind.  When you honor and venerate the dead you are worshiping them.  You are seeking to connect with them for comfort, guidance and favor.  That is WORSHIP.  Worship that belongs only to the Creator.   It is an esoteric spiritual tradition practiced widely in traditional and modern societies across Asia, Latin America, Australia, Africa, Melanesia, and many other parts of the world.  It is practiced in ALL Pagan Religions.  That is what you are doing when you call on any god/goddes/spirit/entity other than the One True and Living Creator God.  The belief is centered on the ideology that dead ancestors can influence their living descendants, and as such, rituals must be performed to venerate them with an aim of evading their wrath. The belief in ancestors has been in existence for centuries and is as old as human existence on planet earth.

Forms of Ancestor Worship

The modern man may not accept that he/she is engaged in ancestor worship for some reason. However, this esoteric spiritual tradition takes many forms. For instance, a long stare on a deceased person’s picture with reverence, is form of ancestor worship. Thinking vividly of a deceased relative is also a form of ancestor veneration.

Sculptures, gates, monuments, buildings, altars, gravestones, plaques, and places designated as memorials are primarily a form of ancestor worship. These have become an integral part of the modern society and are accepted. Memorials that exist in the form of time such as Memorial Day where service men are honored are a form of ancestor worship.

The 10 Types of Ancestor Worship across the World

11. Indonesia (added)

Ma’nene death ritual in Indonesia, practiced by the Torajan people of Sulawesi island. In English, this ritual means “The Ceremony of Cleaning Corpses,” and that is exactly what they do. Every three years, for more than 900 years, the people of Lembang Paton Village dig out the mummified bodies of their loved ones to clean them up, dress them in new clothes, and bury them again. The ceremony, celebrated by all the families in the village, is a key element in their belief system, which combines Christian and indigenous concepts. The idea behind it all is that death is not the end of a person’s life, but rather another step (a very important one) in a long, spiritual life. For this reason, every detail of a person’s death, burial, and afterlife must be carefully seen to, and family members spare no expenses in fulfilling their duties. The resulting ceremonies are so lavish and complex that tourists go from all over the world to witness them.  Source

10. Calan Gaeaf-Wales

On the first day of winter (referred to as Calan Gaeaf) in Wales, residents’ belief the spirits of their ancestors walk among the living. The community therefore avoids places such as churchyards during this time since they believe the spirits hang out in these areas. To be protected from evil spirits, one must write their names on a rock and place it near a fire.

9. Paganito-Philippines

Ancient Philippino religion hold the belief that spirits call Anito exists all over the world and can affect the living. The Paganito ceremony is thus held by traditional shaman communities as a way of pleasing the spirits. This involves worship and sacrifices.

8. Shinto Rites-Japan

Shinto rites and Buddhism are practiced in Japan. Communities believe spirits referred to as kami inhabit everything on earth and are responsible for granting good fortune. Shintoism is therefore done to appease these gods. Rituals involve presentation of offerings to kami.

Traditional households in Japan often contained altars dedicated to ancestors; and although many families don’t have space for altars today, they still celebrate Bon, an annual festival dedicated to welcoming family spirits home for several days.
Ancestor worship was a common custom throughout all of Asia.
In Korea, Jesa is a ritual memorial service held to honor a family’s ancestors. It is performed with offerings and festivities. In Vietnam, the death anniversaries of ancestors are traditionally recognized and considered more important than their birthdays! Source

7. Shi Ceremony-China

This is a stand-in ceremony for the deceased. The term “shi” means corpse and during the ceremony, the worshiper of “personator” dresses up as the deceased and will act on their behalf. Relatives will offer ritual offerings such like a gift and drinks to the “personator.”

In China, it was widely believed that upon a person’s death part of their soul rose to heaven while another stayed on earth to reside in a spirit tablet; in essence, a placard acting as an effigy of the deceased ancestor. In a sort of “Grand Bargain,” living descendants would protect the graves of their ancestors and give offerings to them at an altar, and in turn, their ancestors would influence the gods to bring the family good fortune, health, wealth, wellness, and prosperity. Traditionally, the Chinese family unit was composed of the deceased as well as the living; and ancestor worship acted as the cornerstone of family unity and solidarity.   Source

6. Megalithic Tombs-Europe

This ancient tradition involved the mystery community venerating the dead by constructing giant tombs for them. Newly dead relatives were buried near long-dead members with valuable objects included in the corpse as a way of pleasing the long dead.    This is highly speculative.  No one really knows how or why these were created.

5. Day of the Dead Festival-Mexico

Referred to as Dia de Los Muertos, the day of the dead is a popular ancestor worship ceremony in Mexico captured in many mystery books. The participants use altars and symbols to connect with deceased relatives. They also offer a gift that is believed to help the departed in the afterlife. This includes water, bread, and other gifts.

4. Vodun-Ghana

This is also referred to as Voodoo in other parts of the world. Early mystery community Vodun ceremonies involved human sacrifices to gods, but this has since changed. Presently, animal sacrifices are embraced. Dancing is also a part of the esoteric spiritual tradition with hooded figures (Egunguns) representing the dead.  There have been reports of human sacrifices in some voodoo ceremonies in modern times.  The truth is that the demons are not happy without human sacrifice.

In Africa, especially in the west and southeastern cultures, ancestor worship is prevalent; some might argue as much a part of daily life as eating or working. In fact, ancestor worship forms the backbone of many religions found on the African continent. For example, in present day Nigeria the Yoruba tribe is found. The Yoruba practice one of the oldest known religions called Ifa. Ifa forms the basis for almost all of the Afro-Carribean religions such as Santeria in Cuba, Voodoo in Haiti, Candomble in Brazil, and Lucumi in Colombia. When the slaves were brought to the new world they were typically baptized on ship or shore and from then on prohibited from practicing their religion. However, the slaves were industrious and they disguised their Gods, known as Orisha, as Catholic Saints. This is known as a syncretization; and this syncretization became further altered and flavored by local custom and geography until the religion itself became known by different names in different countries. Strip away the local and Catholic aspects and what surfaces is an ancient religion with three parts: 1) Orisha worship, a belief in “Gods” who are more than human, but less than the one single creator God; 2) divination; and 3) ancestor worship. The story of Ifa illustrates one way a specific form of ancestor worship spread throughout the world. Source

3. Sradda-India

This is a secret ritual where all men participate, except for the holy men known as “sannyasis.” The aim is to seek protection, nourishment, and support from deceased relatives. The participating family member or “karta” brings offerings to local priests and the deceased souls.

Aghoris are Hindu devotees of Shiva manifested as Bhairava,[3][4][5][11] and ascetics who seek liberation (mokṣa) from the endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (saṃsāra). This freedom is attained through the knowledge that the Self (ātman) is identical to the eternal and formless metaphysical Absolute called Brahman. Because of their monistic doctrine, the Aghoris maintain that all opposites are ultimately illusory. The purpose of embracing intoxicant substancespollution, and physical degradation through various Tantric rituals and customs is the realisation of non-duality (advaita) transcending social taboos, attaining what is essentially an altered state of consciousness and perceiving the illusory nature of all conventional categories.

Aghori rituals, which are performed precisely to oppose notions of purity commonplace in orthodox Hinduism, are typically macabre in nature.[12][13] The practices of Aghoris vary[4] and include living in cemeteries, smearing cremation ashes on their bodies,[7] using human skulls for decoration and bowls, smoking marijuanadrinking alcohol, and seating in meditation on top of corpses.[14][15] Although contrary to mainstream Hinduism, these practices exemplify the Aghori philosophy of criticising commonplace social relations and fears through the use of culturally offensive acts.[12] Furthermore, they demonstrate the Aghoris’ acceptance of death as a necessary and natural part of the human experience.[12][16]

Another unusual Aghori belief is that they attribute spiritual and physical benefits, such as the prevention of ageing, to the consumption of human flesh. In 2006, an Indian TV crew witnessed one Aghori feasting on a corpse discovered floating in the Ganges[8] and a member of the Dom caste reports that Aghori often take bodies from cremation ghats (or funeral pyres).[9]

In his book Yoga: Immortality and Freedom (1958), the Romanian historian of religion and University of Chicago professor Mircea Eliade remarks that the “Aghorīs are only the successors to a much older and widespread ascetic order, the Kāpālikas, or ‘wearers of skulls’.   source

2. Pchum Ben-Cambodia

This is an esoteric spiritual tradition that takes place annually in Cambodia and is known as the Ancestors Day. Participants honor deceased relatives and ancestors. The 15-day event involves delivery of food as offerings to places of worship.

1. Samhain-Scotland

This is popularly regarded as the pagan version of Halloween. This is a Celtic holiday that marks the end of fall and onset of winter. Celts and its subcultures believe ancestral spirits walk among the living during this time. Thus, food and drinks are presented as offerings to protect celebrants from negative encounters with the spirits.   this one has been covered earlier in this post.

Conclusion

The followers of ancestor worship also embrace certain traditional patterns or behavior prescribed by their ancestors. Their main belief as recorded in mystery books centered on 3 ideologies. They hold the belief that ancestors look after the family, have a keen interest on the world, and influence fortunes of the living.

Some may think ancestor worship and family altars are exclusively Eastern traditions, but that’s not exactly correct. Have you ever placed family photographs on top of a cabinet, tabletop, in a bookcase or gathered them together on a wall? Were any of these photographs dedicated to deceased family members; grandparents, great grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts or uncles? Would you call such an assemblage an ancestor altar? Many people would; and if you did place such photographs together, how did you feel when you examined them? Ancestor worship may sound ritualistic and religious from afar, but isn’t it the recognition of family ties more than anything else. Recognizing these ties often brings relatives together to gather and talk about times they shared with their family. Whether in the East, West or anywhere else, the sentiment expressed by ancestor worship is essentially the same for us all. No matter how it is expressed, in quiet reflection at the foot of an altar, at a festival or ceremony, or simply through the examination of photographs and paintings, it results in actions that reinforce family ties, love, and appreciation. Whether performed by older or younger generations, intermittently or frequently, individually or in a group, or in the expectation of receiving some benefit or reward such as health, wealth or protection, ancestor worship is a means to stay connected, and some might even argue, to tap into the collective wisdom of those who have gone before. In its most modern iteration, ancestor worship has been distilled to a simple concept – the idea of respectfully honoring the deceased to bring well-being to the living. It is not an idea whose time has come because it has been around for such a long, long time. It is an idea that may be appreciated as much by the living as the deceased.  Source

Human Sacrifice in India

The True Hinduism

Oct 23, 1999

PATNA, India: Police in the eastern Indian state of Bihar on Friday dug up the remains of two teenage girls alleged to have been killed by their father in a ritual human sacrifice earlier this week. Kishor Kunal, a police official at Runisaidpur in Sitamarhi district, 160 km north of state capital Patna, said 18-year-old Renu Kumari and 13-year-old Anu Kumari were killed with a sword and then their limbs were cut into pieces.    source

“This is a case of human sacrifice during the festival,” Kunal said. Police said the father had fled since the incident in Vasudeopur village. The human sacrifices were part of the recent 10-day Hindu festival of Dassera when people pray to Durga, a goddess who symbolises strength and power, according to police and villagers.

Police said a 40-year-old villager was also killed in Mahauli village in Muzaffarpur district, 85 km north of Patna in an incident related to human sacrifice. “A man came running with a spear, yelling “Jai Ma Durga” and slashed the head of the person sitting at a tea stall,” said Akhileshwar Das, deputy superintendent of police.

He said infuriated villagers chased the man and thrashed him with rods and sticks until he died. The man confessed, while he was being beaten, that he had pledged to sacrifice a person to appease the gods.

I am watching the world around me forging ever deeper into evil and darkness and I am flabbergasted!  Why?   Why is the majority of people so enamored of the dark side of life?  Why do brides want to wear black?  Why do grown adults want their wedding cake to be in the shape of a skull?  Why does everyone revel in the celebration of Halloween?  Even worse yet in the Celebration of the Saint of DEATH???  Even some of my own family members see nothing wrong with that.  One of them said to me, “it is just another reason to party and drink”.  What?  Obviously, these people are oblivious to the TRUTH about Spirits and Spiritual Warfare.  They just don’t see the danger to which they are opening themselves up.

SPIRITS ARE VERY REAL.  DEMONIC SPIRITS, especially the Fallen Angels, are powerful, evil forces.  They are far more intelligent and knowledgeable than we mere mortals could ever be.  They are out for BLOOD.  Their main goal is to take your SOUL/Eternal Spirit.  You don’t know who you are messing with.

I started thinking about how we have fallen so far as a nation, really as Worldwide society.  Since the time when Christ walked this earth to pay the price for our redemption, the world has been living under grace.  Even though most of the inhabitants were not truly converted to faith in Christ, they still benefitted from His GRACE.  But, something happened in this century to change all that. The World has pretty much turned their back on the God of the Bible and rejected the precious gift of redemption.  They are returning to their pagan roots, even though, sadly, they do not understand what that means for them.  They have rejected GOD because they don’t want to follow His commandments.  But, they are willing to submit themselves to the ruling spirits of the ancient world whom they must appease at whatever cost.  And they will soon know the cost.  Bondage to these demonic spirits is exactly what Jesus Christ delivered us from.

Over the last few hundred years there have been subtle changes that have moved us further and further from GOD.  These changes have been devised and orchestrated by those who rule this world.  Here is a list of some of those changes:

His philosophy of “Do as thou wilt is the whole of the law” has corrupted innumerable individuals and groups alikesource     This was the Gateway.  When humans decided to communicate with spirits they opened the door.  That was all the demons needed.  PERMISSION.  Once they got in, THEY began to make the changes spiritual that lead to the physical manifestations we see today.

Rock and roll (often written as rock & roll, rock-n-roll, and rock ‘n’ roll) is a genre of popular music that evolved in the United States during the late 1940s and early 1950s. sourceMusic, really all the arts, but especially music bypass our brains and work directly on our spirits.  We cannot detect them because spiritual things are spiritually discerned.  Anyone who has allowed demonic influence into their spirit, can no longer comprehend the things of God.  They can no longer discern good from evil.   All the arts from the 60’s forward are highly charged by demonic spirits.

Eastern philosophy, yoga, and meditation first came to the USA in the early 1960s. Vivekananda is credited with being the first to bring yoga from India to the US. Ram Dass’s book “Be Here Now” introduced Americans to meditation and yogic practices in 1969This was how they re-educated the masses to turn them from the things of GOD to the ways of the Pagans.  If you don’t believe visit the homes of anyone you know who practices yoga.  You will find a statue of Buddha, a A butsudan (仏壇; lit. “Buddhist altar” is a shrine commonly found in temples and homes in Japanese Buddhist cultures. It houses the spirits of ancestors), and all the paraphernalia required to worshp the Sun through the poses.  You will hear them talk about mantras, meditation, mindfulness, Karma and Chakras and they will bow and say Namaste.  You will likely even hear them chanting as they empty their minds in search of nervana.   And yet we were told that American yoga was not spiritual it was just exercise.  HA!

The 60’s and 70’s brought in a whole new layer of Rebellion.  Fed by the senselessness of War, the availability of drugs, Rock n Roll, and wanton abandon of sexual morality our world a level of Rebellion and Sin that it had not seen in a long time. Which of course only served to pull our society further and further from GOD and into the control of the Devil and his minions who were the first and ultimate REBELS.

No-fault divorce began in the USA in 1969, when California became the first state to enact a no-fault divorce system. Governor Ronald Reagan signed the Family Law Act, allowing unilateral divorce in the state. This change set the precedent for other states to follow, and no-fault divorce is now recognized in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.    The Bible says “GOD HATES DIVORCE”.  Not because he wants us to live out our lives in misery, but because he KNOWS how divorse affects everyone involved.  Especially the children.  God wants to heal relationships, not destroy them.  The DEVIL COMES TO KILL STEAL AND DESTROY!  God is in the business of HEALING and RESTORING.

Abortion in the United States – Wikipedia

Many states subsequently passed various laws on abortion until the Supreme Court of the United States decisions of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decriminalized abortion nationwide in 1973.   OH MAN THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE…  IT IS MURDER.  And once blood is on your hands, it is difficult to recover your spirit.  Look at the women today who call themselves feminists and brag about all their children they have KILLED!!   Their spirits are so far in the dark side.  It breaks my heart.  Once we designated the unborn as nothing but tissue and called it a fetus…life itself was degraded.  No longer held sacra cent (most holy and inviolable) all respect for human life was soon gone.  Now we are considered worthless eaters, nothing more than animals.  It is free reighn on our bodies, our minds, our DNA, our children…

Child protective services – Wikipedia

Partly funded by the federal government, child protective services (CPS) agencies were first established in response to the 1974 CAPTA, which mandated that all states establish procedures to investigate suspected incidents of child maltreatment.

In 1980, Congress passed the first comprehensive federal child protective services act, the Adoption Assistance and Child Welfare Act of 1980, which focused on family preservation efforts to help keep families together and children out of foster care or other out-of-home placement options.  In 1997, in order to cure many of the defects in the 1980 act, Congress passed the Adoption and Safe Families Act, which shifted the focus from family reunification to expeditious permanency for children in adoptive placements. All state child protection systems adopted the federal guidelines as a requirement for receiving federal subsidies.

This was another attack on the family by demonic forces.  Done supposedly in the name of protecting children, but it is a lie.  Nothing CPS does or has done has ever been in the best interest of the child.  They have ripped apart more families than one could ever count.  They have alienated the children from their parents, and redistributed them so far away that it is impossible for the parents to even visit them, if they are able, it is under the most disgusting of circumstances that does facilitate coalition or reunion of the family unit.

I speak from personal experience, I have seen CPS at work from all sides.  I even started training as a child advocate at one point to try to make a positive impact.  But I saw that the system was so corrupt it was impossible.  I have worked in the Boys and Girls Club and see children, BRILLIANT LOVING Children, drugged to the point they could barely function.  I have sat in courthouses with parents and heard their stories about how the courts took their child for no reason at all and placed them where they are continually abused physically, mentally and emotionally, with no hope of ever retrieving them.  I learned that once CPS places a child anywhere…the true parent is NEVER ALLOWED to get them back.  Even if they do everything possible to make a better home and circumstance for their children.  Even if they get clean if they were addicts.  NEVER can they get their children back.  Who made the government GOD??   We did!!  By surrendering all our rights in exchange for what we thought would be protection and provision.

A ‘beautiful death’: Mortality, death, and holidays in a Mexican municipality

Abstract

Several studies have reported increased mortality during holidays. Using a cultural epidemiological, sequential mixed-methods approach, this study explored holiday-related trends using mortality data from Yautepec (Morelos, Mexico) collected between 1986 and 2008 (N = 5027 deaths). This analysis found that mortality increased on Christmas Day (connected to Sun Worship and the birth of the Sun God) and All Saints’ Day (celebrated Nov 1 and closely linked to Halloween). Mortality increased on Candlemas Day among women, and increased on New Year’s Day among men. More deaths caused by cardiovascular disease among women and traumatic injuries among men occurred during holidays than in non-holiday periods. To ascertain the elements comprising the health/illness/death process in the context of a holiday in this municipality, we conducted semi-structured interviews in March and April 2009 with relatives of seven individuals who had died during holidays in the previous 4 years (N = 11); data from these interviews were analyzed from a grounded theory perspective to ascertain common conceptual themes. The “beautiful death” emerged as the main concept in the interpretation of death; this concept was related to the expectation of a good death and the particularly special nature of death during a holiday because of the involvement of religious entities, such as God, the Virgin Mary, and/or a saint, at the moment of death. Quantitative and qualitative results provided information about the important effects of holidays, culture, and religious belief on mortality patterns within a Mexican context and contributed to a better understanding of the relationships among mortality, the nature of death, and holidays. Our results suggest that, in the studied region, death can be interpreted as a “beautiful process”. More research is needed to explore this process in other similar contexts and to address topics related to the care and attention given the dying person and the expectation of a good death.

Highlights

► First study to explore the relationship between mortality and public holidays in a Latin American context (Morelos, Mexico). ► Incorporates quantitative and qualitative methods within the framework of cultural epidemiology. ► Suggests that Mexican cultural and religious beliefs guide the interpretation of death as a ‘beautiful’ process.

Introduction

Mexican culture has a particular fascination with the subject of death. This relationship hasn’t only generated a series of meanings, attitudes, and practices about death throughout history, but has also played a role in the construction of the Mexican state and of popular Mexican culture and has been constituted as a national symbol (Lomnitz, 2005). The diverse expressions of Mexican holidays are reflected in the annual religious, civic, and historical calendars. The Day of the Dead (November 2) is the main manifestation of the links between the culture of death, holidays, and Mexican identity (Lomnitz, 2005). The calendar includes religious, civil, and historical holidays that are essential manifestations of local, regional, and national culture. In this context, popular religiosity plays a fundamental role in cultural expression.
Although the majority of the population considers itself to be Catholic, religious syncretism dating to the Spanish conquest and colonisation is reflected in holidays. This syncretism was characterised by the adaptation of Christian expressions imposed by the Europeans and the integration of these expressions with prehispanic rituals and religious manifestations (Parker, 1993). Popular religiosity has been given meaning through annual celebrations such as Carnival, Easter, the day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Christmas, Epiphany or Kings’ Day, Candlemas Day, and days dedicated to different saints and the local patron saint.
Diverse studies have found relationships between mortality rates and holidays. Mortality has been found to increase or decrease on a daily or weekly basis when social events are celebrated (Eliason and Ohlson, 2008, Shimizu and Pelham, 2008, Yang et al., 2008).
Today, the Day of the Dead is celebrated in two ways (Garciagodoy, 1998). Rural and indigenous celebrations have a religious focus. These celebrations take place in a domestic context; represent the encounter and dialogue between the living and the dead through offerings, and frame a space of social relations within the community. The importance of these celebrations is reflected in the 2003 UNESCO proclamation that the Indigenous Festivity dedicated to the Dead was part of the intangible heritage of humanity. In urban Mexico, Day of the Dead celebration is less religious and more festive, primarily expressing the artistic character of the holiday and its importance as a symbol of national identity (Lomnitz, 2005). Holidays, whether historical or secular, correspond to social events that distinguish festive time from daily life and are expressed through socially established transfiguration and transgression, which create a distinctive symbolic system (Sevilla & Portal, 2005).

Warning: Spoilers for “Game of Thrones” ahead.

In a series riddled with heartbreaking character deaths, it only seems appropriate to memorialize each brutal character ending. That’s where Robert Ball comes in. The UK-based illustrator is best known for his “Game of Thrones” art series calledBeautiful Death,” in which he draws an artistic interpretation of the latest episode’s fallen character

Tech Insider spoke with the artist following season six of the HBO series to learn more about the gorgeous artwork that has become an anticipated part of each weekly episode airing.

The “Beautiful Death” series began back during season one. “‘Game of Thrones’ was recommended to me by friends – having grown up on Tolkien and Moorcock it was right up my street and I devoured the whole thing,” Ball tells Tech Insider.

HBO/Robert Ball

Ball’s interpretations for Ned Stark’s beheading (Season 1, Episode 9), and the iconic Red Wedding which resulted in Robb and Catelyn Stark’s death (as well as everyone in the room, I’ve heard.  I would never watch tht soft of garbage.  GARBAGE in GARBAGE OUT.)   (Season 3, Episode 9).

The poster are created 100% digitally using a combination of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Each one takes around four days to complete.

HBO/Robert Ball

The death of Ygritte at the battle for Castle Black (Season 4, Episode 9) and Ball’s recreation of Tywin’s murder (Season 4, Episode 10).

Since Ball is based in London (or King’s Landing, as he likes to call it), and the episodes air there at 2 a.m., he opts to watch them Monday morning over breakfast.

HBO/Robert Ball

Aemon Targaryen’s funeral pyre was transformed into a dragon (Season 5, Episode 7) and the massacre at Hardhome (Season 5, Episode 8).

“After that, I open up an e-mail from HBO which contains the quote for the week, and the subject for the week’s ‘Beautiful Death,'” he explains.

HBO/Robert Ball

Tyrion’s wildfire plan killed hundreds at the Battle of Blackwater (Season 2, Episode 9), and a poison called the Strangler killed Joffrey (Season 4, Episode 2).

You see, Ball doesn’t actually choose which death from the week’s episode to focus on for each illustration. As fans of the show know, there are often multiple options.

HBO/Robert Ball

Littlefinger pushed Lysa Arryn through the Moon Door (Season 4, Episode 7), and Barristan Selmy’s death was symbolized with wheat grass — part of his house sigil (Season 5, Episode 5).

“Luckily, [which death to portray] is one decision that’s made for me,” Ball says. “Imagine, for instance, if I chose to illustrate Jon Snow’s ‘death’!”

HBO

Jon Snow died in the season five finale, but was resurrected early in season six. HBO wouldn’t have wanted Ball to memorialize his death quite yet, given its temporary nature.

QUEST FOR THE THRONE – You have to see this to believe it!!

I guess they want to get everyone into the medical system so that when you are about to die then can put you on life support with or without your consent.  That way you will reach a point where you will be happy to take yourself out just to get out of the torture of lying there tied to machines.  The devil would prefer that he get you to sell him your soul, but he will settle for you to commit suicide.  SELF MURDER as your last act before you leave this earth.  Thinking that you would then be refused entry into heaven and become his property.

Don’t let them kid you that it is not murder.  If you out of pride and rebellion determine that YOU WILL be in control of the time and place of your death, than that is a complete and total act of REBELLION against GOD, and taking your life before your appointed time IS MURDER.   It shows absolutely no faith in GOD, and without FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD.

The paper elicits how the late-nineteenth-century theatrical tradition of staging Hamlet and the aesthetic tradition of representing Ophelia intertwined to produce the modern necro-aesthetic. Caught between death and beauty, but excluded from the ontological predicament of the Shakespearean story, Ophelia became a model of turn-of-the-century feminine subjectivity (subsequently marked in contemporary aesthetics by the blend of refinement and sophistication). The visual discourse of representing dead Opheliadriven by the compulsion to “see” on the canvas what was not “represented” on stage—filled in the cognitive-narrative gap in the staging of the story. Visualized as “blind to everything external” and “blissfully elsewhere,” as Hegel put it in his Aesthetics, Ophelia provided a platform for the interconnection of the theatrical, visual, and linguistic discourse of the time. The image of her dead body thus solidifies the core of the death-driven feminine subject, “shattered by something intrinsic to her very being,” to quote Hegel again. The paper draws on the socio-economic aspects of the nineteenth-century gender relations which eventually came to glorify the image of an emaciated, fragile woman, with Ophelia being a central figure in the equation.

Hel: The Feminine Face of Death in Norse Mythology

I. Introduction

Norse mythology is a rich tapestry of gods, goddesses, and mythical creatures, all intertwined in a complex cosmology that explores the themes of life, death, and the afterlife. At the heart of this mythology lies a pantheon of deities, each representing different aspects of existence. Among these figures is Hel, a significant and often misunderstood character who embodies the complex nature of death within Norse beliefs. This article delves into Hel’s role and symbolism, uncovering her importance in the Norse mythological landscape.

II. Who is Hel?

Hel is the daughter of the trickster god Loki and the giantess Angerboda, making her a figure rooted in both divine and monstrous heritage. Her lineage places her within the chaotic realms of Norse mythology, where she often represents the darker aspects of existence.

A. Genealogy: Daughter of Loki and Angerboda

Hel’s parentage connects her to significant figures in Norse mythology. Loki, known for his cunning and mischief, and Angerboda, associated with the giants, contribute to Hel’s dual nature as both a deity and a being of darkness.

B. Physical description and characteristics

Hel is often described as having a strikingly unique appearance. According to various sources, she is depicted with a split visage: one side of her face is beautiful and bright, while the other is decayed and ghastly. This duality symbolizes the balance between life and death, reflecting her role as a guardian of the dead.

C. Role as the ruler of Helheim, the realm of the dead

As the ruler of Helheim, Hel governs the realm where souls of those who did not die gloriously in battle reside. This realm is distinct from Valhalla, which is reserved for warriors who die heroically. Hel’s domain underscores the Norse belief that not all deaths are equal, and she plays a critical role in the afterlife journey.

III. Hel’s Domain: Helheim

Helheim is a complex and foreboding place within Norse cosmology, serving as the final resting place for many souls.

A. Description of Helheim and its significance in Norse cosmology

Helheim is often depicted as a cold and dark realm, surrounded by icy rivers and mountains. It is a place of shadows and silence, reflecting the somber aspect of death. Unlike Valhalla, which is a hall of feasting and glory, Helheim represents a more neutral or even bleak afterlife.

B. The nature of the souls that reside in Helheim

The souls that dwell in Helheim are primarily those who died of old age, illness, or misfortune. These souls are not punished; rather, they exist in a state of neutrality, emphasizing the Norse view that death is a natural part of life.

C. Differences between Helheim and other afterlife realms, such as Valhalla

    • Valhalla: A glorious hall for those who died bravely in battle, where warriors feast and prepare for Ragnarok.
    • Helheim: A more somber realm for those who did not die in combat, where souls reside in a state of rest.

IV. Symbolism of Hel in Norse Mythology

Hel’s character embodies several key themes within Norse mythology.

A. The duality of life and death in Norse beliefs

Hel represents the inevitable nature of death, serving as a reminder that life and death are two sides of the same coin. This duality is a recurring theme in Norse stories, where the cycle of life is intertwined with the acceptance of death.

B. Hel as a representation of inevitability and acceptance of death

In a culture that valued bravery and honor in life and death, Hel personifies the acceptance of mortality. Her existence encourages an understanding that death is not to be feared but accepted as part of the human experience.

C. The feminine aspect of death and its cultural implications

Hel’s feminine representation of death challenges traditional views of death as solely a male domain. Her portrayal encourages a more nuanced understanding of death, integrating feminine qualities of nurturing and acceptance into the concept of the afterlife.

V. Hel in Norse Myths and Legends

Hel appears in several key myths that highlight her significance within the Norse narrative.

A. Key stories involving Hel (e.g., the death of Baldur)

One of the most notable stories involving Hel is the death of Baldur, the god of light and purity. After his death, his mother, Frigg, pleads with Hel to release Baldur from her realm. Hel agrees, but only if every being in the world weeps for him. This tale showcases Hel’s power and the respect she commands in the mythological hierarchy.

B. Hel’s interactions with other gods and beings in Norse myths

Hel often interacts with other deities, including Odin and Frigg, reflecting her integral role in the pantheon. These interactions often emphasize the respect and fear other gods have for her, as she holds the fate of souls in her hands.

C. Analysis of how these stories reflect societal attitudes towards death

Through Hel’s narratives, we see how Norse societies viewed death not as an end but as a transition. The stories reflect a culture that honored the deceased and acknowledged the inevitability of death, fostering a complex relationship with mortality.

VI. Hel’s Cultural Impact

Hel’s influence extends beyond ancient texts, permeating modern interpretations of death and the afterlife.

A. How Hel has influenced modern interpretations of death and the afterlife

In contemporary culture, Hel’s character has sparked interest in the feminine portrayal of death, challenging traditional narratives that often exclude women from this domain.

B. Representation of Hel in literature, art, and popular culture

    • Hel appears in various forms of literature, from fantasy novels to poetry.
    • Visual art often depicts Hel with her dual visage, symbolizing the complexity of death.
    • In popular culture, Hel has been featured in movies, video games, and television series, highlighting her enduring relevance.

C. Contemporary perspectives on Hel as a symbol of empowerment

Many modern interpretations view Hel not just as a goddess of death, but as a powerful figure who embodies resilience and acceptance. This perspective aligns with contemporary discussions surrounding women’s roles in mythology and society.

VII. Comparing Hel to Other Death Figures in Mythology

Hel’s portrayal can be contrasted with death figures from various mythological traditions.

A. Brief overview of death figures in other mythologies (e.g., Hades, Anubis)

    • Hades: The Greek god of the underworld, often depicted as a stern, male figure.
    • Anubis: The Egyptian god associated with mummification and the afterlife, also male but with nurturing aspects.

B. Comparative analysis of Hel’s attributes and roles with these figures

While figures like Hades and Anubis embody authority and control over the dead, Hel’s dual nature and feminine qualities present a more complex view of death. She is not merely a gatekeeper, but a nurturer of souls, reflecting a more inclusive approach to the afterlife.

C. The uniqueness of Hel’s feminine portrayal in contrast to male counterparts

Hel’s feminine aspect adds depth to the understanding of death in Norse mythology, allowing for a richer narrative that embraces both nurturing and inevitability. This contrasts sharply with the often masculine portrayals of death figures in other mythologies.

VIII. Conclusion

Hel stands as a significant figure in Norse mythology, embodying the complexities of death and the afterlife. Her role as the ruler of Helheim and her interactions with other gods highlight the importance of understanding death within the cultural context of the Norse people. As we explore Hel’s symbolism and narratives, we gain insight into the feminine representations of death, fostering a more inclusive understanding of this universal theme.

Sacrifice in the Norse Religion

Sacrifice was not only practiced by the gods in Norse mythology; it was also a common practice among the mortal inhabitants of the nine realms. People would make sacrifices to the gods in exchange for protection, prosperity, and victory in battle. These sacrifices could take many forms, including offerings of food, drink, animals, and even human blood.

One of the most common forms of sacrifice in Norse society was the offering of animals, such as sheep, cattle, and horses, to the gods. These animals were often slaughtered and their blood was spilled on altars or sacred stones as a way to honor the gods and seek their favor. The meat from the sacrificed animals would then be cooked and shared among the community as a sacred feast.

Human sacrifice was also practiced in Norse society, although it was less common than animal sacrifice. In times of great need or during important rituals, people would offer up human lives to the gods in the hopes of gaining their favor. These sacrifices were often carried out in a ritualistic manner, with the victims being chosen carefully and prepared for their role as offerings.

One of the most famous instances of human sacrifice in Norse mythology is the story of the hero Sigurd, who was sacrificed by his father in exchange for victory in battle. Sigurd’s father believed that by offering up his son as a sacrifice, he would ensure the gods’ favor and secure victory for his people. However, Sigurd’s death ultimately led to a tragic chain of events that resulted in his father’s downfall and the loss of his kingdom.

The concept of sacrifice in Norse mythology is a complex and multifaceted one, encompassing both physical offerings and spiritual sacrifices. It reflects the Norse belief in the interconnectedness of all things and the idea that by giving up something of value, one can gain blessings and protection from the gods.  source

Have you noticed that just how many shows on television is somehow related to DEATH?

THE DEFEAT OF DEATH, HELL, AND THE GRAVE

1

Corinthians 15:55
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. It is not A TRUTH of Christianity it is THE TRUTH of Christianity. No other religion challenged death, hell, and the grave and won. With other religions the grave always wins. No other religion can point to the hope of a resurrection.

Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross and His shed Blood alone pays the price to redeem mankind from sin and the resurrection alone was proof of God’s acceptance of His sacrifice. It was our justification and declaration of righteousness before God. As one great preacher said, “Christianity is the only religion in the world with a virgin womb at one end and an empty tomb at the other end. Jesus defeated sin, satan, death, hell, and the grave. His victory is ours by faith in Jesus. We are born again or birthed into His victory (1 John 5:4).

There are so many blessings of the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus that affect our past, our present, and our future.

Its power can cancel out a life of past sin, justify us, and give us a new beginning Romans 4:25; 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Its power and life is available for conquering present sin Romans 5:10; 6:14, and give us power over our adversary Luke 10:19.

What a blessed hope its power makes available for our future over physical death. His Resurrection from the dead was a guarantee and a prelude to the resurrection of His people (Romans 8:11).

The Bible calls it our Blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our Lord Titus 2:11-14. What a glorious day that will be and because it could happen at any moment we ought to purify ourselves as He is pure (1 John 3:3) and be zealous about preaching the Gospel.
